Greetings. I’m Joe Bavonese, a Psychologist by trade; also a marketing maven in my most recent incarnation. These are a few of my favorite things: my family; my dogs Sally and Rufus; sea kayaking; baseball; playing with computers and doing psychotherapy. I’m a huge fan of John Muir and Ken Wilber.
I co-run two service businesses: Relationship Institute, a group psychotherapy clinic in Royal Oak, Michigan; and Uncommon Practices, an international training and consulting organization that teaches health care providers how to create their ideal practice through the implementation of 21st century business and marketing skills.
I love the creative challenge of marketing a service business in the 21st century, where people’s attention spans seem shorter than ever.

Hi Joe,
I stumbled across your website today and found it very interesting! I am a graduate student at EMU getting my masters degree in community counseling and have been thinking a lot about what it will take to have my own private practice someday. I enjoyed reading your posts and which was even more satisfying when I saw you are also out of Michigan. Thanks for all the info, I will keep your site on my favorites to come back to!

Hi Melissa,
Good to hear from you. Glad to hear from a local person!
Stay in touch as we’ll be adding more stuff on the website and starting a whole new program about online marketing for therapists, with a lot of free info.
Best wishes in your program.
Joe

Hi,
This is the assistant editor for Hospital.com which is a medical publication offering hospital news, information and reviews. We also cover a wide variety of medical topics, some of these articles being relevant to nursing schools and issues around their prospective students (scholarships, grants, etc). We are in the process of giving the nursing industry a dedicated section from our site and are currently seeking online resources which can be offered to our readers of this section. If possible I would like Hospital.com to be included within your blog roll, offering our information as a resource to your readers and essentially building a relationship between our sites. Please let me know if this addition can be made, Thanks!
Please email me back with your URL in subject line to take a step ahead and to avoid spam.
Thank you
